This permission helps manage who can access different parts of the system based on their assigned domains. It ensures that users only see and work with elements relevant to their specific domain. For domain permissions to function correctly, the user's domain must match the domain of the entity item.
- if the user does not have an assigned domain, then the user can see all available items - If an item does not have an assigned domain, it will be visible to all users.
How it Works
Let's explore an example using CMS > Entity items:
- Open CMS and Select Entity Navigate to the CMS and select the Entity section.
- Add Items with Domains Add the following items with specified domains: - Title: "Item 1" with Domains: "Domain 1" - Title: "Item 2" with Domains: "Domain 2"
- Assign Domains to the User Open CMS > Contact and select the user. Add "Domain 1" to the user's domains.
- Login with User Permissions Log in as the user with the assigned permissions.
- Verify Entity Visibility Open CMS and select Entity. The user will see only "Item 1" in the table, as their domain matches only with "Domain 1".
